Dining in- China Town's Best food, Buffet specialist

One of the firsts to offer an "Eat all you can"buffet.

More than 10 years ago, China Town looked more like a typical old chinese restaurant, with many big round tables that can accomodate large group of people. Now in a Modern ambiance, the popular China Town in Banawe, is more presentable and comfortable which made dining in a real pleasure.

Appetizers, Main Courses and Desserts were properly placed in 8 separate buffet tables. All looks so tempting that you need to plan first what you want to eat, types of food served were so plenty that even if you have a big appetite you cannot taste all of them. there is the so called Drinking station corner where you can choose varieties of softdrinks or Ice tea.

I love Chinese Food, but not much on their main course.. I always prefer their appetizers and soup, and of course their typical fried rice. Looking back in my younger years, it was my father who introduced the chinese dishes to me. I remember him ordered a cold cuts before ordering our meals and these cold cuts were combinations of seaweeds, century eggs, pork hamonado and white chicken. Dining in at China Town, I realized how I missed those old time favorite chinese appetizers.

I love seaweeds and century egg the most, I also tried the white chicken with ginger sauce. The Dimsum is great but i am sad because I did not have much space for them anymore, just to look at them made me feel so full. But in the latter part when fullness subsided (well after a cup of hot tea), I'm glad I was able to taste the Peking duck wrapped like lumpia and combined with cucumber.

Champion Desserts

If you still have space for desserts, there are so many varieties to choose from... Chocolate fountain and stuff to dip on it is a sure winner, those who want it cold, can make Ice cream with their choice of toppings or simply make their own mouth watering Halo-halo... I still got the common chinese dessert known as Almonds. I also tried thier Pudding in a shot glass, the Strawberry flavor is the best... Egg tart is ok....

Japanese Bar

There is one Japanese Buffet table where the famous tempura is attractively place in a boat like container.. it offers the usual maki and the Japanese Kani Salad.

Will I consider to come back?

The answer is yes, because you will have so much at a very reasonable price. During ordinary days or weekdays you can have it at P388/head, but on weekends it's a bit expensive in the amount of P518/head, but still cheaper as compared to other restaurants that also offer buffet services.

Hi Maria Cecilia, I'm not aware of an eat-all-you-can restaurant in Banawe. I usually eat Chinese foods at Binondo. I'm surprised that China Town offers Peking duck as part of their buffet. I might as well try to go there and see for myself. I hope they have mango sago too for dessert. :)

Seriousnuts thanks for visiting, yes There is one and it's has been there for years... Oh my officemate said there was a mango sago, it was placed beside almond jelly and I obviously chose the almond.. bout the peking duck is good.

This is lovely. Nice photo's too. I like the Desserts.

I used to work with a Chinese lady and we became such good friends. We used to meet up at weekends to go to "Soho" - China Town in London.

Everytime the food came round in trolley's, I would say "Paula, what's in that?". lol.

Chinese Food is brilliant.

Great Hub.
